I was talking with a friend about this particular run (there are some amazing cliffs involved, and there is a significant portion of the trail where you’re about a foot away from rolling down a precipitous cliff) which takes you through the suburbs to the ocean and to a local, prestigious golf course…I haven’t done it since last August when I fell and whacked my quadricep against a wooden step nailed into the steep hill (there is a hill named Stairmaster). As I fell late in the first half/early stages of the second half, and was trying to limp back, a friend called his parents to pick the three of us up in a minivan when he had about two miles to go.
So that’s what it looks like! It really is lovely. But there seems to be something on the path a little ways down. I hope you didn’t trip on that… :’D

To my complete delight I found this in the mail today: Oh Ji Eun’s second album! My god, how long and patiently I’ve waited for this (it was released only a few weeks ago haha). I’m a huge fan. She’s a Korean indie folk-rock artist whose vocals remind me a bit of Japan’s Shiina Ringo—husky, impassioned, real, and personal—with the tenderly bare compositions of a rock band like fra foa. Naturally, after mentioning two of my favorite artists in one breath, I love this woman. Artists like her… oh, she just rocks so hard :)
